So cold today, it was near impossible to get warm. Houses and classrooms here are just not geared up for cold weather.......... well classrooms are not geared up for hot weather either. Time to start teaching wearing my wool coat, scarf and gloves I think.
Today I was happy about:
- Finally seeing red splashes on one of the bottle brushes that I planted when I moved in. This was one of the first lot of free plants from the council that I got..... it was nothing more than a twig.
- A fun art activity to finish off the day based on the illustrations in a couple of the books we had used for guided reading this week.......... followed by a cancelled staff meeting, simply the best sort of meetings to have.
- A visit to Dad, cabin fever has set in (it sets in for me in that room after half an hour so I can only imagine how rotten it is for him). His traction has been taken off which is a good thing.
