Friday 12th June

Another cold morning, -3C aound the time I was getting up....... couldn't find the gloves though, shall have to have a major hunt out on the weekend. Days like this are ones where I give the kids the 'treat' of being allowed a morning run/walk around the oval...........so that I can stand in the sun instead of the fridge that is my classroom.

Today I was happy about:

• I like the cold weather, it is much more preferable to the heat of summer for me, but I like to be able to get warm too....... one thing that I love is the sparkle of an early morning frost on the leaves.

• I had quite a few kids away today but it felt like I had a different class, the ones that were there just sat down got on with it, tried their best, worked silently......... I thought I was in the wrong room..... it is so not what my room is like normally.

• Another trip to the hospital....... Dad _may_ be out Tuesday or Wednesday......... he is desperate to come home. Our problem is that his high fall risk means that he won't be allowed to be left alone.......... have to work that one out. As I was leaving there was a man who was really confused about where he needed to be.... he asked for directions but didn't know where to go...... I had a few extra rides in the lift trying to get him where he wanted to go (which turned out to be about 10m from where I had run into him)........... he got there in the end which was the main thing.
