An easy day, no time constraints and no 'must do's' .......... plenty that could be done but the world wasn't going to end if I didn't. It was really nice to get to the end and not feel that the day had been wasted, that there were things I should have done with the time.
Today I was happy about:
- Picking a small posy of pansies out of the tubs to add a splash of colour. It is really nice to have flowers in the house, and even better when they come out of the garden.
- I packed up all the kids tests that were strewn all over the dining table and it's chairs (there were a few on one of my sofas too), got all the bulldog clips back on them, put them in folders, and bagged them to take back to work for filing....... the first step in reclaiming my home from the Education Department.
- A small dint made in the yard work........ some weeding done but that is going to take a long time to put right. The big achievement was hacking away at the horrible tree that grows at the side of my drive......... It has shooted out of the ground and all the saplings were over the drive making it hard to back the car out.
- One of my favourite old films was on TV this afternoon.............. To Sir, With Love. I had to read the book at high school and still wish I had a copy to read again. Sidney Poitier is a class act.
